Ms. Labonte has expertise in the areas of real estate and business litigation, zoning, planning, and land use, and construction law. She effectively represents the firm’s clients before the state and federal courts and other tribunals in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Ms. Labonte received her B.S. in Television, Radio and Film, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, where she was a Chancellor’s Scholar and a member of the Rho chapter of the Delta Gamma sorority. She also was a member of the Syracuse University NCAA Dance Team, performing in front of over 50,000 people in the nationally-renowned Carrier Dome during Big East football and basketball games.

Ms. Labonte earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Roger Williams University Ralph R. Papitto School of Law. While at Roger Williams University, she was an Articles Editor for the Law Review and competed on the ATLA Trial Team, participating in a number of civil and criminal trial competitions and winning first place in ATLA’s 2004 Regional Competition in Providence, Rhode Island. Ms. Labonte was also a selected member of the Honors Program and served as president of Roger Williams University’s chapter of the Justinian Society.

Ms. Labonte joined LaPlante Sowa Goldman after completing a one-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Paul A. Suttell of the Rhode Island Supreme Court.
